TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Your unforgettable journey begins in Trogir, the UNESCO jewel of art and sculpture. During the beginning of the pleasant sea voyage, we will have a beautiful view of the Old Town of Trogir which includes the breathtaking view of Kamerlengo castle that dates back to the 15th century. The voyage will then continue to our destination, complete with a unique panoramic view of the most beautiful islands along the Croatian coast. On the journey, we will have an opportunity to see the many beautiful bays, beaches, and small fishing villages along the coast, as well as the indispensable display of stone lacework of the heavenly vineyards, whose photo is housed in the United Nations building in New York as a symbol of the hard human labor performed throughout the centuries.
Excitement will grow as we approach the Šibenik archipelago and the channel of St. Anthony whose entrance is protected by an ancient guardian – the fascinating tower of St. Nicholas from the 16th century. Through these same channels, we will sail into the spacious Šibenik bay where we will see a stunning view of the royal town of Šibenik. We then continue towards the mouth of the Krka river where we can expect a pleasant sightseeing cruise through the winding canyon that will lead us to Lake Prokljan, the second largest in Croatia. Having traversed the lake we will re-enter the canyon of the river Krka, surrounded by fascinating scenery and cliffs where many famous world movies were filmed.
Just around the corner is the beautiful Dalmatian town of Skradin where we will be greeted by a local guide who will introduce us to the history of the town. Shortly after, the guide will escort you onto a local boat for a short ride that leads to the famous Skradinski buk, the largest waterfall at NP Krka. During the guided tour, you can walk among the many waterfalls and see the stone houses and mills that now form the ethno museum. To complete this story, the guide will take you to hidden and lesser-known waterfalls that are ideal for swimming and relaxation.
Upon completion of this unforgettable Krka experience, we will then embark on the same route towards Šibenik where we will have the opportunity to tour the city and visit the jewel of Croatian cultural heritage – the Cathedral of St. James (UNESCO). For lunch, we will eat at a small family restaurant in Šibenik that offers delicious Dalmatian specialties.
That’s not all, however, as on our return voyage we will be making a stop in Primošten, one of the prettiest Dalmatian towns, which is located on a small peninsula.
Your unforgettable excursion will end with a view of the golden sun of Dalmatia kissing the most beautiful sea in the world.
